Practical overview

Trail 5 is a favorite for beginners and regular hikers because it balances greenery, water crossings, and manageable elevation. It still requires proper footwear and water, because nature did not sign up to babysit anybody.

Route description

Begin from the Trail 5 entrance on Margalla Road. Follow the stream-side route through shaded sections before the climb toward viewpoints and the upper trail junction.

Risk notes

Slippery stones after rain, heat fatigue, and stream-side mud.
